Okay, so we finally got Mega Man 9 and now what? The only new MegaMan game that's been announced since is the (most likely) god awful Starforce 3. The MegaMan series has been known for releasing a few games a year, but is SF3 really all we're getting in '09?
I'm really itching for a new MegaMan game and E3's lack of an announcement for one really bothered me. Anyone else feel the same?

Maybe the megaman franchise has been reduced to getting just a little bit of money before a larger game. Street Fighter 4 and Capcom vs. Tatsunoko or whatever comes to mind when I say this.

Honestly Megaman sales have plumited. Not long ago we use to get one X game a year, along with Battle Network and Zero. Though sales have steadly declined (Starting with the release of MMBN: 4) and ever sence it has not regained itself. If the series brings little to no money to the company then their not going to spend time makeing new games that will not sell.
In all honesty I think that would change if a Megaman fighting game were made or a first person shooter that played a bit like metroid prime.

It just seems like we were doing so good there for a while. We got ZX Advent, which was great, and then MM9. It seemed like Capcom was turning the MegaMan series back around and now they're abandoning it.
Anyways, I'd like to see a new original series game that introduces Zero, perhaps as the final boss, and I'd also like to see Capcom pay attention to their fans and maybe introduce some of the better developed fan characters like Ran, Allegro, or even Plague. A fighting game like Rockman- The Mega Wars would be nice too. Heck, I'd even love a Metroid-style MMX game like MMX- Corrupted.
And of course, I'd love to see them tie up all the loose ends concerning the Cataclysm.

Sales huh... Well I'd never did consider that sence I'm a fan ,but thats how things are if something that lasted for so long starts to dwidle it just slowly dissappears which I refuse see go just like. If anything ever comes to that it better end with something great. I am truelly glad thier are fans who continue to support perhaps to us one of the greatest gaming icons for the last two decades.
