He was especially disappointed when he found out Capcom continued the X series as he was already content with the ending he gave for X5, but oh well what's done is done.
And I read through some sources that they had plans to make Zero 5, but Keiji Inafune insisted on finishing the series at Zero 4.

Theres your proof, now go play in the road. Jet beat me to it. I was going to say that. Inafune indeed said there are no plans for an MMZ5 and only to MMZX which is THE SEQUEL to the series. I dunno why people keep insisting that there will be a MM9, MMX9 or an MMBN7. Deal with it. ZX has the same gameplay as the MMZ series, except you can play as The 4 guardians, Omega, Zero (Omega with OIS deactivated), X and Model ZX and there are no stages, just a world map |

look here morons every megaman game is the same so if you say that mmzx is like mmzero then you might as well say that they are all are the same, and further more if you actually look around there are things stated like this "Well there has been some semi-official mention of a fifth. Just a slight mention by someone who did work on Zero 1-3, Now Waking and Telos. But I mentioned that in the other topic where there was talk of Zero 5." and thanks to dualzero for making the point i missed on mentioning ( on a document)  |

You, Listen here, I don't think you understand what Keiji Inafune means when he says there will be no more Megaman Zero games.
Keiji Inafune is the man behind megaman, he created the series, and true capcom made games after X5 but Keiji Inafune had no part of it. that being said I would still like to see X9 (and give a true conclusion that would lead into the zero series) and for once end the X series that way, not just drop it off at X8.
If Keiji Inafune says he will not make a Zero 5, and capcom seems to have decided to make the ZX series instead of continuing the Zero series (instead of moving onto the DS.)
If you look at the quoute you provide, you'll notice a few key things.
1-"semi-official mention" that means that capcom has not said they would, only someone inside capcom said they might. If capcom did not come out and say it, then it is not official and therefore isn't real.
2- just because some one did work on Zero 1-3 doesn't mean anything. it's what he thinks not what the company will do.

Well... if they were to make an MMZ5 or continue the Zero series, they should give it an an ending that would link the Zero series to the ZX series, and the same could be said how ZX is the prequel to Legends

P.s. look at the megaman game timeline and tell me what you see. not all the games came year to year so wait for all this to be solved.
