i found colonel to be slightly easier, but i liked team protoman better.

I don't play Exe myself, but I believe Zero has been in that gamecube game. And colonel is in X4. Or is this Colonel from Exe another Colonel?

zero has his own chip and they did bring back colonel in megaman battle network 5

Zero apeears in MMBNetwork Transmission for the gamecube.
He is the main enemy, he spreaded the Zero Virus around. Even though the Dream Virus is the last boss.
Colonel is cooler than Protoman.
Plus the game is cooler too =D SHADOWMAN!
