X6+ isn't Alternate Universe... Because the official story continued in X6 is that Zero sacrificed himself, but was repaired and returned. The story then continues into the elf wars where Zero and X fight Weil and Omega and after Omega's beaten then Zero seals himself because of the virus is still present.

(By the way, canon means part of the officially recognised story. )
And despite what Keiji Inafune wanted, Capcom gets the final call, not him. So he may have intended it to end at X5, but that's not his decision to make.

I notice that alot of people think that Axl would be an enemy if X9 came through(though I remember someone stating that due to Capcom's ways, the next game would have yet another normal sappy story. Peytral, was it? I forgot lol)

My friend and I were talking about this, but we came up with a theory or whatever: There's much talk about reploids having DNA and such...maybe they can reproduce? Especially the new model copy reploids such as Lumine and such......Maybe that tentacle that B*tch-slapped Axl was an emergency reproduction procedure...Meaning Lumine screwed Axl to save himself from destruction, offering four scenarios:

1.Lumine becomes Axle's darkside and causes the kid to do bad things, wreaking in his destruction by X/Zero/new possible character?'s hands.

2.Lumine is reproduced from Axle's body, thus completely destroying Axl similar to the guy from Bleach where that hollow took over Rukia's vice captain.

3.Lumine spawns from Axl's body. Because of his recklesness and such, he does a heartfelt and daring sacrifice at the end of the game, thus ending Lumine and himself.

4. Sigma comes outta F*cking nowhere and does some other stupid plot. WHAT? Capcom's a whore like that...>_>

You got a good point there... That would most likely make sense. Since reploids do have DNA. But, A Reploid reproducing is kind of interesting and in a sense weird theoretically speaking... Want to start another thread? So people can discuss theories about X9's story if there was one and perhaps other theories. Unless they already have one somewhere and hasn't been updated in months than no....

Axl is a great character, I have no clue why any of you are putting him down. He gives you an excellent feel of the new-generation repliods and their scan abilities. He also has jokes here and there, which breaks the X/Zero tension. Besides, you guys can't really say you don't like "LOLOLOL COPYU."
