C++ ? sorry I dunno if I can help you... I know alittle java but I don't know how much that could help...
disassemble sprite sheets? into single sprite per image or animated gifs?
but yeah sprites in should help for your basic sprites...
as far as custom controls can't you have a menu in the options where you can use a method to change the control button?
like in java you might be able to use something like: public class Aconfig(string a){ dash = a; //or the other action name variable }
and use something like that to change the controls?

sorry for the delay in update. viruszero, if you could, i need the sprite sheet disassembled into anything you can manage. as for the custom controls, its impossible because of the way i am programming it. i will try to make the controls as simple as possible for everyone though. I NEED NEW FLOOR SPRITES FROM ANYONE WHO CAN MANAGE IF YOU WANT ZERO TO MAKE IT EVEN HALF AN INCH OFF THE GROUND zero keeps falling through the floor, i have tried EVERYTHING to change it, but no dice. plz, ANY contribution will help. P.S. FLAMEZERO! GET ONLINE! DON'T MAKE ME FLY TO TURKEY AND TRACK YOU DOWN ;D

Hmmm.Go to Megaman Inc.They have alot of sprites there.You can edit out the rest of the sprite when you get a sheet with backrounds.
EDIT: I'll post the sprite sheet for you if you want.

It was created by "Damaged Games". I would suggest you go there and ask the creator of it how he got around the problem.

How are these?: i18.photobucket.com/albums/b133/ss3_goku_897/FloorSprites.jpgEDIT:They're more like tiles.Just place one of the same kind in front of the other. EDIT 2:I see your using game maker.Good luck dude.I know how frickin impossibly hard that thing is to use for making a good game with no bugs.I made a game with it once and despite my best efforts, it was glitchy as hell.

I have made a few glitch free games, but nothing impressive. One was a mario style game with Black Mage frome FF1 . Well, anyway, dis-assemble those floor sprites and try again, thx

"Reassemble Stephanie! Reassemble!"--- #5 from Short Circuit Sorry, couldn't resist the quote.
Back on topic... He probably means take the sprites out of the game and then try re-inserting them, although I'm not entirely sure.
