Yeah so what do you think of the whole entire devil may cry series? Story, and graphics alike....

Well the story and general gameplay was awesome and the graphics were very up beat for its time throughout the PS2 generation to the PS3 Generation. However the one down side is the styles Dante had in number three. Than you look back to the previous ones with the story order they didn't have what the prequel had so if they whated to be consistant quit changing things too much when people can really see the flaws and after effects. So yeah other than that it was the story that impressed me the most. Favorite weapon was Alastor from Devil May Cry 1.

The anime? It sucked IMO. I didn't know it was Dante until....weeeeeeeelllll I knew who he was but the personality I like is gone in the anime. He sucks. I never stuck around long enough to find the storyline of the anime.

Kay. When you said series, I couldn't tell which. Either way though, I know little 'bout the storylines.

Basically for the DMC anime you could have watched eps 1, then 10-12 and gotten the whole plot and not missed anything important.
As for the games, well if you look at Dante in DMC and then DMC3, DMC1 version actually has some of the DMC3 styles built in as his normal abilities... Specifically gunslinger tricks like charge the guns, and I'm not sure if he had the trickster ability to run on walls or not, I can't remember.
And if you look in DMC2, he had quite a few capabilities that he had in DMC3. ( Though DMC2 is oft thought as the crappy one of the series. ) Specific abilities he had were: -Twosome-time with E&I - Charge pistols/shotgun - trickster- Wall run (Though I can't remember for sure if he had this here or not... I'm pretty sure he did, but I'm not playing DMC2 again to find out)
But as for my favourite weapon... Either Beowulf/Ifrit/Gilgamesh or Agni & Rudra.

DMC1 would have been the Perfect Hack and Slash ever created to this day IF the controls were changeable, or X would be for Jump and Triangle for Reading stuff or something... Part 1 was great, i got it back in 2003.. I thought it was too scary to play at night, so i always played in the morning lol...But it was great DMC2 was a good game, but not as good as DMC1 or even close, it was expected to be this awsome suquel. It took the entire formula that made DMC1 Great through it away, and created a game full of Retarded Boss, the tuffest enemys helpless as I shot them Contiounesly and they couldn't move so they died... the whole, "You cant enter here until you find the Blue Key, so go on with your quest on some other door the oppisite direction of your destination" DMC2 had an Oppen Map which sucked, since it was pretty much the same concept as walking back and forth, but really long extended roads, that didn't have to be there at all... DMC2 was Epic FAIL as a suquel to DMC1, but a good game none the less, just not awsome like its pretecessor DMC3 It was to hard o be playable, I have played Games like Ninja Gaiden, but this game on normal setting was WAY HARDER THAN NINJA GAIDEN 2 is, I Just couldn't get past the 1st boss, I tried all that Tactical stuff, but just kept getting my handed to me... I played through easy mode... and it was a BIG diffrence, Bosses were killable now and the game was passable... Great Game... But too hard to play it on normal setting DMC4 Return to form, But still easily accessible to new fans of the series... I loved it, Up until You play as Dante, and its not because of Dante, Its because Your repeating the game in reverse order, Dante's style is great and all, but I would have rather had 3 new boses for Dante then Have Nero Fight all 6 of them at the end, that would of made a great game... but reapeting the levels made the game drag on...

They pretty much pulled off a Megaman moment when it came to repeating the same actuall boss fights. I was a little ticked about that but, oh well that was 4 and yes 3 was hard on normal so playing on easy was good way to build your characters up so you have a bit of a fighting chance considering you didn't start out with Devil trigger off the bat like you did in 1 and 2. 1 will always be my favorite because of my favorite electric blade Alastor. 2 was a mess really for the sequel for 1 but, oh well yet again...

THATS BLASMAFFY! (idk how you spell it) Dante should have Fought 3 diffrent bosses...

Number three was the easiest!!! I could kill all the bosses (except beo-wulf) with ease! thats what trickster, roll and items are for!

It got easier as I figured out the boss patturns so I pretty much was unstoppable with Agni and Rudra and the Guitar whatever it's called... Virus you honor the ways of Hadoken with your weapons of choice!

And for the Beowulf it is mandatory for me that I use Swordmaster, Beowulf demands the swordmaster to have it's peak capabilities. ( The rising dragon/shoryuken type move is exceptionally deadly. Especially when you chain the downward double fisted smash and/or then the move where you drop down and make a large explosion of energy on landing, the volcano I think it was called or something like that...)
As for the guitar, Nevan, I never used it for much other than getting those few last blue orb pieces... I found it to be kinda slow and not as strong compared to the other weapons. Though I'm sure with sufficient practice I could do much better with it.
Though DMC3 was hard, it wasn't that hard, I mean I beat Hard mode with the only really difficult fight being Vergil 3... I used a ton of items on him, but for the rest of the bosses I used either no items or a single L vital star. (And yeah, DMC was set up so that the NA easy mode was the JP normal... The NA normal was JP hard. )

Give the other games a shot, they're all going to be harder... but they're much better games for sure. And since they've been out a while now, you can most likely find them for cheap. ($20 US for DMC3 Special Edition. And probably another $10-$20 US for DMC1. Prices depending on the store you find them and where you live, of course, but they still should be roughly around that price range.)
As for beating Vergil 3 with no items... On what difficulties can you do it, Hiddeninja?
As for the toughest boss of all 4 games... I still have to say Vergil 3 from DMC3 was the toughest... Far tougher than Mundus of DMC1, and just barely tougher than his DMC1 incarnation. (But this may be due to Alastor, and it's arrary of powers, including flight, being so useful compared to the other lightning based weapon... Nevan, which was much harder to use.)
But he(Vergil 3) is especially tougher then <insert any boss here> from DMC2.
Even the bosses from DMC4 were pretty easy. The toad boss, Bael, from Dante's mission was horribly easy, even on normal. No word of a lie, you can slash the little red 'feelers' until he shows up, then if you are close enough to him when he lands you can Devil Trigger and stinger into a massive combo until virtually all his health is gone in just one Devil Trigger. (I think I had two hits left to kill him after I ran out of devil trigger from only attacking him the one time...)
