True... though the MMZ games where you can level up your weapons is more like an RPG than anything else

To Chaos Tank... Well if you think about... Yes you are in the hidden base but, where is the hidden base located... In the dessert of course considering after you rescue the pilot. Your next mission is to find and rescue the troops from the hidden base. Well in reality your goal is to find and enter the base but, at the same time once you get to the holding cell area is part of your actual mission. Not to be snide but, thats my opinion about the hidden base.

Copy X's attack patturn I admit was hard the first time... So here a nifty little trick if you have the buster maxed out you should be able to dish out some damage and knock him out of most of attacks. Also a charged saber is the best way to go. Are you perhaps rank A and he does the whole subtank thing. Well if it is you better knock him out fast so that way he can't use it when you try to finish him off. As for in general B and lower he doesn't use it and isn't as aggressive.

Copy X can be beaten the exact same way as Aztec Falcon. Wall jump up a wall until he jumps too, and you slash him with your saber before you hit the ground. Cake. Of course you want to make sure he's facing the wall when he jumps up, otherwise don't attack him or you'll get hit when he attacks, only jump down if he's facing the wall.
Angel X? The first way I found to kill him was to use the triple rod, jump and thrust it straight up at his face. Then you're in a good position to run to either of the floaty things and dodge attacks when needed. I don't understand why you all think Z1 is the hardest, that one is the easiest in the series. ------------------------------------------
And no, its not in the desert area. Its in the secret base area, which is different from the desert area. Secret base is below the desert, but that doesn't make them the same area, they're just close by one another. Think about that whole game, pretty much each area has 2 missions. The train mission and saving Colbor from Harpuia, same place. The intro stage and getting the triple rod from the elephant, same place. Stealing the factory and then protecting the factory... same place. Fighting Anubis and Fefnir... They take place in the desert. Saving the resistance fighters and then stopping the hacking both take place in the secret base. You might start in the desert but they are not desert missions.

I never said it was hard. Hell, for sport I refuse to touch the walls and fight X without taking damage. Though I do the chain rod thing for seraph X too. Or I just buster-spam him.
what type of weapon function do you use? You know, the thing at the option screen that lets you choose how to switch your weapons? I use C(Thats the one that lets you switch from primary weapon to secondary in a snap, right?)

Yeah, I use C too. And I can fight X without using the walls, that's just the option I'm suggesting for the first time player.

I use B. for me it's just easyer to have a sepret button for each weapon. But what I hate is that my fav weapon was only in one game. I loved that chain-rod but they only had it in MMZ2

I use mode C because I loved switching between weapons and the triple rod to me was one of the best rods out of the three.

Copy X is fairly easy to fight. He pretty much anounces most of his attacks and they're not that hard to dodge. Now Seraphic X, he's a reall pain in the @ss to fight. Especially if you didn't use any of the energy bar enhancing nurse elves. I'm trying a file where I don't use any cyber elves whatsover, I'm at the last stage, and I always die to either Maha Garenshief, Phantom (Biiiiitch, you haxxorxx!!) or Seraphic X.
What I do is immediatly switch to the Ice element chip (Seraph X is weak to X), climb up those spike wall things while charging the sabre and whack him with it. When he crosses his arms and puts his head down, get off the spike band things or you'll fall into the pit.

It's three bosses.
The Elephant guy takes up alot of screen space, is hard to jump over and alot of his attacks throw himself at you. It's tough.
Phantom is... Well he's a ninja. I shouldn't have to elaborate as to why he's hard to beat. Especially when he does this attack where he makes the screen go all black except or you and the floor, and he's throwing kunai at you from the dark.
Seraph X? He has too many attacks that are tricky to dodge, like the one where he shoots yellow lazers out of his fingers.

The elephant guy requires good dashing skills and timing. Like his rolling bombattack simply dash jump over him. While he does that swing attack or whatever you can actually cut the truck with good timing or just wait for it to end and dash away from it. Phantom and the dark screen attack. Funny I've never encountered that attack even when I'm like A rank. I guess I'm very quick to kill him anyways. As for Angel X the laser attack targets your movement so timing it is hard unless you feel like taking some damage and getting lucky or if you know his patterns.

randomdrifter, I know how to kill them. If I couldn't beat the elephant boss, I'd never make it to Phantom, and if I couldn't beat Phantom, I'd never make it to Seraph (He's a seraph, not an angel. Angels have two wings, seraphs have six) X.
The problem is that they wear me down and I die to one of them.
