I said X. He removes all his gained weopons after each game. "Power corrupts" was his reason. And yet, he still kicked azz. Zero is okay, dam near his equal, and I did prefer Absolute Zero to Ultimate Armor X in Command Mission, but he was made by Wily, and, as an example, Bass, who had the greatest power source at the time, could not defeat Mega Man, who was built as a helper robot, not a fighter. Wily just makes things suck for some reason.

Megaman was legendary... Bass was not legendary/cursed.
Zero was cursed. Destroyed Megaman, Bass & Protoman.
X is a fine hunter... But he was nowhere without Zero...
He shouldn't even survive Vile. (on teh other side, without Zero, Sigma was still teh hunter and saved probally X)
For the one who don't know... Vile was NOT infected by teh virus.
He just wanted more honor and power...

And is Zero being cursed any different from X being stupidly loyal to the good of all people in the world? Not really. He fights battles that seem impossible, and yet he will never back down. He is also merciful to dam near everyone, which makes him hold back in nearly every fight. He also isn't called the God of Destruction like Zero. He wasn't built to be a ruthless and ultimate killing machine, and yet he is Zero's equal. But whatever. It's a matter of opinion.
