I wanted to see Vent and Alie again, but I guess they change characters too much.

Well gaming companies usually change the characters of different sequels of a certain games, since if they always keep the protagonist the same character, then people will start geting bored because the story would get stale. So they make new lead characters to bring freshness back into the series, like KOF Kyo was the main character till KOF 99 (K'), then eventually they changed it in 2003 (Ash Crimson), and finally put Kyo back on the spot in KOF XI.

I think it was Terry Bogard that was the main character of the KoF games, but who knows anyways? A ZXA production blog is being written as the game is developed. A link can be found on atomic-fire.com
