I find it hard to believe that the guy who wears Zero's armor isn't Zero. For all we know, Zero could've finally decided to lighten up and maybe quit his job as a mercenary (in a sense, he was). As for the kids, well, I can only think that maybe the Original X left his armor to them because he thought they were somehow worthy.
Maybe Van is a human incarnation of X? I dunno about Eile, though...
It would fit, wouldn't it? Because X was always kinda young during the first few X games, wasn't he?
I mean, think about it; Van and Z (supposedly that's red-shirt's name) both have the eyes of X and Zero, respectively. And Z also has what looks like an energy light on his forehead.

if zero did die then it couldn't be the real zero, but as for X's age, well megaman was 10 so it would stand to reason that X would be built to look in his teens (i say around 16-17).
but just because they look kind of similar doesn't mean they are the same. it might just be done that way by capcom.
but until we play the game we really won't be able to judge for ourselves what it's like so though i have mixed thoughts on it, i'll just wait til it comes out then play it.

looks like a cross between MMBN and MMX i'd say How so? MMBN took influence of internet situations, battles, and net navis while MMX delt with reploids alongside reploids and a fight for peace. My theory on the game is that Zero and X don't exist at all and Capcom just had that Zero and X-looking armor for it to support the whole Megaman idea. |

What worrys me is that this new series might just signal the end of all the other series. Original has been gone for a while. Same with Legends. And X, Zero, and Battle Network have all provided ample endings for their respective series with MMX8, MMZ4, and MMBN6.
What will happen to these series now? *Starts panicing and running around in a circle* AHHHH!! *Smacks into wall*

dont worry capcom wont end such a good thing as megaman without some big ending, so there is no need to run into any wall

Umm...that was me.  ;; Perhaps ZX is just a continuation of Zero? Like Zero was to X? Only this time, Capcom didn't leave a gaping plothole between the two. Zero died in Z4. xD Or did he...? If he comes back in Z5 (if there's a Z5), then we're all  . ._.;; |

yeah i hope they do make a z5, the ending really didnt really satisfy me, as for zx it doesnt look like a continuation to me

No, it's a paralel dimension
There is no X or Zero in this series. It's some kids who go power ranger and get their ARMORS
The term of ZX is that maybe the blonde guy and Van/Eile can sorta merge their armors into a ZX form or something

Well basically, it's seems to be just a power rangers game which has Megaman slapped on just so it will make more money... And the kids... SOIAHegsdknfsm@*$#&Q(^! I hate world saving children.

Oh come on, these guys are far from "a group of teenagers with attitude!" (Yes I remember what Zordon said in the opening. And who Zordon is XD)
And I'm going to agree with Raikon. This is definatly not a continuation. It's gotta be an alternate dimension like BN and Legends.
But I just thought of a nice idea. What if Capcom made three games that would be released in sequence and tie up all the loose ends? First you'd have Megaman: Cataclysm, then MMX: The Elf Wars, and finally, have a new Zero game to answer any questions about that series. Must start praying to the gods of gaming!!! (Jk)
