I have no idea why this doesn't have a thread yet. One Piece is the most hilarious manga I've seen, has awesome battles and an excelent story. Plus it's about pirates.
Discuss.

I assumed no one else cared about it. I watch the episodes that air on Toonami. Sure I could scourge the net for more but I'm confused enough as it is(I think I missed alot before that stupid sand saga, and I KNOW I missed alot after it.) If you haven't watched the toonami version, I'm a t the part where they're in the sky.....the cloud place or whatever
there's alot of pics having the crew wear and do totally diffrent things. Why can't they mend those things into the actual storyline?....

The enormous "sand" part is the Arabasta Arc
The sky part is the Skypiea Arc (Which has the most awesome character ever, Eneru)
You didn't lose much after Arabasta, after that it's Skypiea. You probably think you missed because of the anime fillers (There's a filler story arc or two after Arabasta and before Skypiea)

yeap, those names were in my head, but couldn't find them. Until the expert pirates come back into the scene, this is an ok anime to me. My favorite part was when they all fought in the sea against the uh......>_>;.....gold guy with the cannons, then a few of the super elite pirates came and powed Zolo and whatnot. sheesh, I should find those episodes. They were epic to me lol.(and I need to catch up on the names to everything. I can only remember the names of the main characters...I can't even remember Luffie's bro. -_-; )

Luffy's bro is Ace (I think it's Trace in the dub, how lame)
The best story arc in my opinion is the Enies Lobby assault (Straw Hats invading the strongest fortress of the World Government and declaring war to them), which is made of awesome, plus shows Luffy's Second Gear and Third Gear.

Enies Lobby was decent at best. I thought there were too many deus ex machinas. And the whole concept of Gears keeps pissing me off, especially when it's not going to go away as it would seem.
Arlong-arc is where it's at. That was so made of win and awesome. Only once have I actually felt like dying to see some damn fish-man-hybrid in hawaii shirts have the living crap beat out of him.
Sad tale being that the first time while watching, I skipped the whole Arlong-arc and jumped into Loguetown. The sight of Arlong himself was just... Ew. >.<

He's called Ace in the dub I'm sure.
I can never get into the show, I'm afraid. Just seems too long and drawn out to me. I only watched up to the Captain Kuro part before I got bored.

What happens after Skypeia? I only got to the part when Luffy beats Eneru...
Eneru IS the one with the electric fruit, right?

If you're watching the anime, you'll go through a "filler story arc" where they crash on a marine fortress. If you're reading the manga, you'll skip that and end up on the Davy Back Fight story arc. And yes, Eneru is the one with the Electric Logia.

Eneru, huh? I think I saw a japanese special on google where he fought goku. It was pretty awesome.
I'm gonna have to find an episode list. I wanna start right where I left off...I remember the Arlong episodes....I skipped the sand saga(about 25-35%. Boredome still had me watching the episodes despite my confusion, but I'm not gonna watch the Eps. I missed since I saw Zero[?] and Luffy fight.)
So I think I'll skip around in the skypea arc intil I get to after They fought the fat cloud guy or whatever.

Because unlike Bleach or Naruto, this has awesome writing. And things you see will have an impact like 5-6 story arcs later. Most prominent example is the Laboon Arc, which was the first thing the Straw Hats see on the Grand Line. Laboon is only fully explained over 300 chapters later, in the Thriller Bark.

True, only things that are skippable in One Piece are the filler.
Anyway I LOVED the Enies lobby arc, I thought it was really well done, and the idea of "gears" doesn't bother me... well the NAME could be closer but other than that they all fit Luffy VERY well, they have strengths and drawbacks that make them not superomgwtfbbq powerful, but hey I may just be weird like that
Also imo One Piece has the WORST dubbing ever....EVER >.>
But thats just me, I'm strange like that.

One piece is actually worth reading now these days, because bleach is bland and boring and Naruto is showing way too much of Sasuke.
Oda has a huge imagination that it's sometimes down right scary . And right now the manga is showing a lot of great stuff so I'll be satisfied at the end of the week. ;D

Oda pulled out a Negima and scattered the Straw Hats throughout the entire Grand Line. It was a sad scene, but Luffy landing on the Amazon Island made the lol come back.
